There is a major difference between oils, I can’t stress enough not to use a conventional oil unless you want to change the oil every 3,000 miles. If you don’t change your oil every 3,000 mi with a conventional oil you will have gummy deposits and a short engine life. For a little bit more money you can get a full synthetic and it will last from 7500 to 10,000 Miles. What people don’t realize is most of the where happens on a cold start. When a car sits all the oil drains from the top of the engine through all the moving parts and rest in the oil pan. When you start the engine on a cold start there is no oil in the moving parts and results in metal on metal wear. To reduce this problem use a synthetic oil like Amsoil which is top of the line. This will coat all the moving parts not only will it results in a longer lasting engine and less time changing oil.
