Island Falls

Fort Kent’s Joe Pelletier in 600 class which he placed second. “It was alright for our first time out this year,” said Pelletier. ” I got a 1st in both IFS 440 and IFS Outlaw, 3rd in Trail 600 and crashed out of Trail Open. It was my first ride on a new sled, so I was trying to get the setup right. I wasn’t as competitive as I wanted”. Pelletier plans to be at the SnowBowl Snowcross races as does fellow Fort Kent racer Toby Caron third from right. Caron finished on the podium in 3 out of 4 races entered.  (Elizabeth Agnew Hartford photo)

Git “Er Done Raceway

Limestone 14-year-old racer Gage Theriault raced the oval at Git “Er Done Raceway in Skowhegan and continued his win streak on ovals albeit ice not dirt this time. When asked how the day went, Theriault replied,” Pretty good, I got 1st in the 340 in the Teens class and then 1st in the 440 Teens. I would have had 1st in the 340 Stock against adults for the feature but it (the engine) was so hot because the 340 Teens and Stock classes were back-to-back. As soon as I took off, I knew I only had about forty percent power. I knew something wasn’t right I still kept up but the motor blew right up.”

Theriault thought he might be racing at the SnowBowl Snowcross race at Spud Speedway in Caribou March 4 & 5, 2023.
