Defending Dakar Rally Truck champion Martin Macík Jr. is less than thrilled about his class’ top speed being dropped from 140 km/h to 135 km/h for the 2025 race.

Although both of their Land Cruisers finished the 2024 Dakar Rally, a brutal 2023 Rallye du Maroc and 2025 Dakar route have Toyota Auto Body prepared to reinforce the car when testing begins in mid-June.

The new Dacia Sandrider began testing in May in the UK and Châteaux de Lastours in France. Additional tests will be held in Morocco in late June ahead of its racing début.
