Overall race winner
If you are looking for betting markets that offer a basic experience and can be easier to enjoy, then you will want to consider the overall winner of the Emilia Romagna GP. Trying to predict which driver will win can still be very enjoyable for punters, as unpredictability still exists.
Max Verstappen is considered the current favourite for the race, and history would help to explain why he is. The Red Bull driver was the winner of the last two editions of this race, and with him in good form again as the leader in the standings, many do not expect him to slip up at a track that has proven favourable to him.
His teammate, Sergio Perez, who is second on the leaderboard, is considered the most likely to win outside Verstappen. Fernando Alonso and Lewis Hamilton (who won in 2020) are further back.
Expect a Red Bull One-Two Podium Finish
If you want to bet on places, it may be worth considering a Red Bull one-two podium finish in this race. The duo has been incredible this season and hard to beat. If one of them has not won, the other has.
Since the 2023 F1 season began, the pair had finished in first and second together in all but one race. The only race they failed to do this was at the Australian Grand Prix when Perez finished fifth; Verstappen had managed to win that race.
It is difficult to look beyond either driver at this moment, and they should not suffer any issues in qualifying or have reliability issues with their cars. There is every chance they will be standing on the podium together again.
Imola Continues to Provide Excitement
While there have been changes to the Imola course since it returned to the F1 schedule as a permanent fixture after once being known as the San Marino GP, the Qatar Airways Emilia Romagna GP Autodromo Enzo e Dino Ferrari continues to generate a lot of excitement.
Plenty of high-octane action takes place on the track across the weekend, and there will undoubtedly be plenty more to look forward to in 2023. Whether Red Bull takes all the spoils again remains to be seen, but it would not be a shock if they did, would it?
